In the glass, the 2018 Q Red Blend is a deep, ruby red color with a vivid purple hue. Aromas of high-tone black fruits, maraschino cherries, and brown spice are pronounced. The blueberry and red fruit notes are accented by notes of espresso and brown spice. The wine is juicy and plush on the palate with blackberry, tea, and spice notes evident. The velvet tannins are mouthcoating and leave an almost chocolate note on the long, juicy fruit finish.

Blend: 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec

This shows lots of spice, berry and walnut character. Currants, too. Medium to full body, tight tannins and a vibrant finish. Needs time to open, but nicely crafted and balanced. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, petit verdot and malbec. Drink after 2023.
