Notes from the Winemaker

The nose features notes of black cherry and wild strawberries. Ample and very fine, it offers silky tannins. Its mineral hints remind the characteristics of the soil it comes from. The natural maturity of the fruit is balanced by the freshness of this terroir of altitude.

The nose has quite a creamy veneer of oak over the ripe red-black fruit and some charming floral touches. The attack is juicy and rich with red berries, sour cherry, plum, hints of leather, and game. Finishes with a concentration of tannin and body seldom seen in Fixin.

A classy red, with supple cherry, strawberry, floral and mineral flavors underscored by a deft touch of new oak. Balanced, with the refined structure exerting itself as this winds down on the lingering, spicy finish. Impressively elegant.
