Domaine Maxime Cheurlin Noellat, a rising star in Burgundy, presents their elegant Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits 2022. Situated in the cooler, higher-altitude Hautes Côtes, the Pinot Noir grapes benefit from limestone-rich soils. This vintage offers bright aromas of fresh red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of earthy spice. The palate is light-bodied and vibrant with fine tannins, showcasing flavors of red berries and a delicate minerality. This is also aromatically quite pretty with its slightly more deeply pitched array of plum, exotic tea and soft earth scents. There is better volume to the caressing and punchy middle weight flavors that also conclude in a bitter pit fruit, dusty and balanced finale. Fine quality for a Volnay villages.
