VINTAGE SUMMARY
2014 was characterized by a very dry early winter with heavy rains in February and continued rainfall in March and April (February: 11.7 inches | March: 4 inches | April: 2 inches). Average temperatures were higher than historical averages, with minor heat spikes in June (101F) and in July (103F). No heat spikes were recorded in August or September

TASTING NOTES
Offering tremendous opulence, Ulysses 2015 marries lavender and sage in voluptuous layers of blond tobacco and blue plum. A wine
of great potential.
VINTAGE SUMMARY
2015 saw a wet winter (24.26”) with some particularly heavy rains in December. These rains replenished the soils’ water reserve. The very dry spring induced moderate shoot growth. Early May temperatures cooled down suddenly affecting the bloom which reduced the size and number of berries per cluster.
The growing season was consistently warm with one severe heat wave (106F) on August 16.

TASTING NOTES
Remarkably fresh and full of energy, the Ulysses 2016 offers deep boysenberry,lavender and sage, spruce, rose petals, and wild cherry.
The palate vibrates with fine-grained tannins and a long, bracing finish.
VINTAGE SUMMARY
2016 was characterized by a rainy and warmer than average winter.
With soil water reserves full, vines quickly grew dense and vigorous canopies. Bloom and veraison unfolded in warm and dry conditions. Ripening slowed down in August because of cooler temperatures and late morning fog.
Warm temperatures in September (99 F on 18th, 100 F on 25th, 100 F on 26th) helped fruit to ripen consistently.
