Martin Ray Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 750ML
Martin Ray Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 750ML
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California
Notes from the Winemaker
Record setting rain and cooler temperatures lengthened dormancy,
with first signs of bud break mid-March. Hotter than average days in June and July brought harvest mid-August with lower than average yields across all varieties.
Deep notes of chocolate-covered cherry, dense cassis, and cacao nib. Blueberry throughout, with allspice, green peppercorn, and supple integrated tannins.
Pair this wine alongside blackened hangar steak with chimichurri sauce.
Classic, labor-intensive, small-lot winemaking techniques implemented. Four day cold-soak, hand punch downs for two weeks in open-top fermenters. Aged in 50% new French oak for 16 months.

Reviews and Accolades
93 Points/James Suckling
This is very ripe with lots of intense fruit. Hints of walnuts. Toasted. Turns to dried flowers. Medium to full body. Lots of mountain tannins. Flavorful finish with freshness. Drink or hold.
